10 WWE Superstar Skins Perfect for Fortnite

Hey now! What do we have here? A rare opportunity for me to talk about two of my favorite fandoms in one post again. Well, far be it from me to miss out on an opportunity like this. So, let’s see how I can blend the worlds of Fortnite and the WWE together. I mean, how can we blend these two entities, I wonder. It’s got to be some kind of collaboration that sees both of these two IPs blend together. Ah, yes – that’s it; let’s talk about some Fortnite skin collabs with the WWE.

As I am writing this post, the John Cena skin was recently featured again in the Fortnite Item Shop. And while I have been a proud member of the “Cenation” for many years, I find myself wondering why we haven’t seen any more WWE characters featured in Fortnite. I mean, one look at the numerous individuals that populate the WWE Universe, and you can see a variety of colorful, boisterous, larger-than-life characters that would make for perfect additions onto the Fortnite island. I mean, I can easily think of five male and five female WWE Superstars that would look great in the world of Fortnite. So, if you don’t mind indulging the inner fanboy in me, allow me to list of the ten Fortnite x WWE skin collabs that I would like to see in-game.

But before I get started, let me just preface this post by stating that I will only be considering some of the more recent WWE Superstars for this list, so don’t expect to see Superstars like Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, or the Ultimate Warrior on this list. Also, I will not be featuring any NXT Superstars in this list either. Those are entries for another list down the line. Now, on to the list:

Asuka

Without a shadow of a doubt, Asuka is one of the more charismatic and colorful characters on the WWE main roster, and when you consider how her appearance comes across the camera, it’s easy to see why her look and aesthetic would be a perfect fit on the Fortnite island. You could even through in some cosmetic changes to her face paint to customize her character skin just that much more for players to have fun with.

Becky Lynch

Whether Becky Lynch could be added in as either her “The Man” or “Big Time Becks” gimmicks, I think that her overall look would be most appealing to Fortnite players who also happen to be fans of this undeniably popular WWE character. Hell, why not give players the option of choosing from either of her skin options. Both are very appealing looks for her that I think players would love switching back and forth from when playing as her.

Bray Wyatt

If they would ever add in a Bray Wyatt skin into Fortnite, I hope that they give fans a chance to choose from several of his character incarnations that we have seen on-screen at various times in his career. Whether it be the “Eater of Worlds” cult leader or the “Firefly Funhouse” persona or either version of “The Fiend” that we could choose from, I think he would be a great and aesthetically pleasing addition to the world of Fortnite.

Cody Rhodes

Ever since Cody Rhodes left the WWE to further develop his character and appearance on the indies and in AEW, I have loved how his persona has evolved. And it is that character growth that would make him a great fit in a game like Fortnite. Imagine dropping in from the Battle Bus in full “Commander Cody” regalia (a la his appearance at last year’s WrestleMania) with the ability to keep his overcoat on or remove it, it would make for a great visual in the game.

The New Day

Okay, I will admit that this is a bit of a cheat on multiple levels here. But the current NXT Tag Team champs are also a fixture on the main roster. And, yes, there are more than one member of this team. But as host and mainstays of the YouTube gaming channel UpUpDownDown, how could you not think about adding all three members of this colorfully dressed cosplaying members of the faction. And, yes, even the currently injured member of Big E would be a part of this potential bundle.

Rey Mysterio

The biggest draw of adding a WWE character like Rey Mysterio into Fortnite would be the ability to customize the appearance of his attire. Make everything from his mask to his wrestling tights to even the gloves and armbands that he regularly sports, and you then have a character that Fortnite players could then customize to their hearts’ desire. Much like the real-life Superstar, the ability to change his appearance is one of the reasons why Rey has remained one of the most popular characters in the business.

Rhea Ripley

Just one look at Rhea Ripley and you can see why she is one of the most impressive looking Superstars on the WWE roster. She may not be the most colorful or varied persona in the company, but what she lacks in variation, she more than makes up for in charisma and raw appeal that is pleasing to many fans in the WWE Universe – and I believe that appeal would translate well into the world of Fortnite. I mean, just look at her and tell me she doesn’t already look like a Fortnite skin come to life.

Seth Rollins

In the same vein as his current personality in the WWE, Seth Rollins could be another customizable skin that could feature multiple variations of his “Drip Drip” persona, giving Fortnite players the ability to change his ring tights and his multiple, colorful suits, making it so a Seth character in the game could be as representative of the player as his attire is of his bombastic personality. Variety is a slice of life, and a skin based on Rollins would be a perfect exemplification of that.

Shotzi

For as much as I like variation in my Fortnite skins, adding in a Superstar like Shotzi would be a great throwback to the older Fortnite skins that were pretty much as-is in the game. That’s no knock on Shotzi herself as I think that she already looks like another living Fortnite character, with her vibrant green hair, her playfully militaristic helmet and grunge attire, and her multitudes of tattoos, she would make a great addition to the Fortnite island. You could even throw in a traversal emote by adding in her mini tank, too.

Zelina Vega

Not only am I a huge fan of Zelina Vega, the WWE Superstar, but I am also a huge fan of Thea Trinidad (her real name), the avid cosplayer. In fact, you could see a lot of cosplay inspiration in the multitudes of ring gear she has worn to the ring over the years. And that is why I think that a Zelina Vega skin would be another great collab to feature a customizable look, allowing players to choose from some of her most iconic looks that she has brough forth to a WWE ring.

And there you go; my ten picks for a future Fortnite x WWE collab that would bring some more Superstars to the Fortnite island. What do you think of my list? Are there any other Superstars that I missed that you would like to see added to Fortnite? Let me know in the comments below. Also, should I do another of these lists based on AEW wrestlers too? I mean, I will already be doing a few more based on past WWE Superstars and some NXT Superstars, so why not show some love to the competition as well. Let me know and I’ll see you next time. Stay safe, my friends.
